An overview of learning disabilities and developmental disorders, highlighting defining characteristics and overlapping symptoms including: AD/HD, AS, autism, PDD, NLD, Tourettes Syndrome, OCD, dyslexia, spelling, comprehension, writing and dyscalculia. |

2. ASPERGER SYNDROME |

|
An in depth workshop covering defining characteristics of AS. Overlapping symptoms with other disorders such as NLD, DAMP, AD/HD, autism. Associated conditions including anxiety, tics, depression, and social deficits. Assessment and management of the AS child within the educational environment. |

3. ATTENTION DEFICIT HYPERACTIVE DISORDER (ADHD) |

An in depth workshop defining characteristics of the three types of ADHD. Overlapping symptoms with ODD, conduct disorder and pervasive development disorders. Assessment and management of the ADHD child from an educational perspective. |

4. DYSLEXIA AND DYSCALCULIA |

An in depth workshop into reading disabilities and associated difficulties with spelling, writing and comprehension. This workshop also covers dyscalculia and difficulties with numeracy and mathematics. Techniques and intervention strategies from an education perspective. |
